Mitzvah Day UK projects in 2008
Time for seniors
Join a team visiting a Jewish or non Jewish home to bring smiles to the residents. Sing, read, perform, clean out a garden, paint a wall or join in whatever needs doing.
A wide range of projects for different types of volunteers.
Give Seasonal Cheer
Bring and wrap new toys (recycled paper of course!) for giving to needy children as Holiday gifts. Then willing parents pack up cars and deliver the toys to Barnados’ distribution depots
Primary children under the age of 8 or cheder children.
Mitzvah Day Shopping
This project is all about asking shoppers to buy additional food, that Mitzvah Day volunteers go on to distribute to the hungry. A really hands on way to help get food right to where it’s needed.
Ideal for students or adults. Not particularly suitable for children
Mitzvah Day Packathon
Under the watchful supervision of WJR 150 teens and adults will join the WJR family packathon sending clothes to the Ukraine. Sadly London only.
Youth movements, teens, schools, shuls… any teens! Spaces Limited. Teens and Adults
