Food Collection for Euston Food Bank
Helping local people in crisis
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to to people in need in the Euston area, referred to us by front line professionals.
Reasons for their low income include zero hour contracts, rising cost of living not met by frozen benefits and eroded pensions, sudden bills, ill health, Universal Credit five week gap, debt, homelessness, fleeing domestic violence and refugees and asylum seekers
Euston Foodbank is a small voluntarily run charity under the Trussell Trust umbrella. We are dependent on donations of non-perishable food from the community. The November Mitzvah Day supermarket collection is a lifesaver for our food bank – the supply chain is very thin after the summer and we are in great need of donated food.
We are looking for groups to collect food donations from customers at Sainsburys, Camden Rd, nearest tube Camden Town, by handing out flyers, creating a cheerful ambience and to pack up the donated food for transportation to the Food bank.
All we require is just a happy face and team spirit ! Remember to wear your Mitzvah t-shirts to match the balloons and bunting
Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
