Create a virtual Chanukah Party for Jewish Care

Jewish Care is the largest health and social care organisation serving the Jewish community in London and the South East. We run over 70 centres and services, touching the lives of 10,000 people every week. The impact of Covid-19 has meant that visitor numbers are still restricted so we are asking for your help to provide a “virtual” Chanukah party for our residents and staff to enjoy.

Last year we were overwhelmed with the incredible video show-reels that were sent in by so many schools, youth groups and communities, which brought so much joy and entertainment to everyone who saw them.

With Chanukah starting this year on Sunday 28th November, we would love to be able to create a very special event, so that even though we can’t all be together in person, through the power of digital technology we can still celebrate as one.

Your Chanukah video could feature songs, music recitals, jokes, magic tricks, poetry, dance or acrobatics. You could include a candle lighting ceremony or even create your own Chanukah play.

Why not also include a craft based activity such as making party hats for the residents to wear while watching the show, or create bunting and posters to decorate the communal spaces?

And of course we would love to receive Chanukah cards too!
