Fareshare Tesco Project – 21st – 23rd November
FareShare is a UK wide charity fighting hunger and food waste. We redistribute good food that would otherwise go to waste to frontline organisations supporting vulnerable people, such as children’s breakfast clubs, community centres homeless hostels and refuges. Whilst we receive a steady supply of fresh food from the food industry, we still need longer-life items such as rice, tea and tinned goods. This is where you can step in and make a real difference.
We need volunteers to help collect food donations from customers for just three hours in their local Tesco store. It would brilliant if you could give us a hand!
The Tesco Food Collection will be taking place from 21st – 23rd November. You can sign up for a three hour shift on any of these days. As a volunteer, you will be in store handing out the FareShare ‘shopping list’ and collecting donations of tinned and dried food from customers whilst spreading some Seasonal good will and cheer.
We’re on a mission to make sure good food doesn’t go to waste. By giving your time, you’ll help us get good food to good causes and help combat food poverty in the UK.
