Help collect new pants to give people back the dignity they deserve. Smalls for All® is a charity that collects and distributes underwear to people in Africa and the UK who can’t afford or can’t get any. In Africa, we help those living in orphanages, slums, IDP (internally displaced persons) camps and schools, as well as those in hospitals suffering from medical conditions like obstetric fistula or who need to be fitted with prosthetics or orthotics. In the UK we help charities that support the homeless as well as, for example, refuges and school uniform banks. Giving underwear may seem like a small thing, but it can make a life-changing difference. For example, having pants can help teenage girls complete their education without having to miss school each month during their period. While we collect all colours and sizes of brand new pants, as well as new and gently worn bras, the greatest demand is always for black pants for ladies (full, midi, mini or high leg) in sizes 8, 8-10, 10 and 10-12. At the moment we’re particularly short of sizes 8, 8-10 and 10. Can you help? One pantastic way people are helping is by organising a local collection where they work, among their clubs or groups, or at their school. If you’d like to think big and collect smalls, we’ve produced a poster that explains what Smalls is all about. Please feel free to use it for your collection. We know your support of Smalls will be a huge success, so before you start, make sure you’ve thought about where you’ll store your collection if you need to, and how you’ll get it to us.
