How can I help Ukrainian Refugees?

Register to host

Following the Government’s welcome announcement of the Homes for Ukraine scheme, World Jewish Relief is ready to assist this effort. Our operational experience in Ukraine, our expertise in refugee resettlement to the UK and our heritage will all uniquely position us to do so, as more details become available.

Under the new scheme, people will be able to nominate a named individual to stay with them or in another property for six months, rent free. Those offering accommodation and support should be aware that accommodation must be available for a minimum 6-month period and they must be willing to undergo a DBS check.

We have been working closely with all parts of the Jewish community to centralise all the offers of accommodation being made. We would encourage individuals and community groups willing to offer accommodation for Ukrainian refugees to notify World Jewish Relief of your interest by clicking here .

Families interested in offering accommodation also should register their interest in doing so by going to the Government website

How else can I help Ukraine?

Get involved with local Refugee support organisations in your area. There are already lots of refugees that have arrived in the UK, most recently from Afghanistan and other regions, that are looking for volunteers. Whether it’s mentoring, language support or other ways to use your skills please consider getting involved now to support those already here and to ensure charities have an ample pool of volunteers when the anticipated influx of Ukrainian refugees arrive in the UK.
