Support Afghan new arrivals and other vulnerable people with Goods for Good
Run your own at-home, or community event, together, with family and friends,
or individually. It’s up to you!!!
Donate and pack up essential goods for Afghan Refugees and other vulnerable people.
We need your help please to assist those in-need by collecting essential items listed below for the Afghan new arrivals and other vulnerable people who have escaped violence, conflict, and war.
Worldwide there are over 80 million refugees, asylum seekers and stateless people, struggling to survive. That includes babies, children, parents, grandparents, and individuals.
In the UK, we provide this help by delivering goods to local organisations and charities where they receive our help and essential products.
All year round we supply these goods, and we would like your help this year by collecting the following essentials:
New school stationery: crayons, pencils, felt tips, exercise books, colouring books.
toothbrushes and toothpaste for children & Adults
New underwear for all ages.
New socks and tights for all ages
Hats, gloves and scarves
Toiletry items – especially shampoo and shower gel
We are asking the community to help us and host a #WeDoGoodsForGood packing session at your home/shul/school or place of work, to help meet these needs because together we can have a great impact.
#WeDoGoodsForGood in 4 easy steps.
Invite your family & friends, colleagues to help you and tell them what you are collecting for vulnerable people.
Ask them to help you by bringing you some of these essential goods to add to your efforts. Tell them about www.goodsforgood.org.uk and our goals and what we can achieve together. You may wish to share our short film with them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_prdblxMh0&t=44s
Pack the goods up in a box or bag. Children/families might like to include a lovely warm message and/or picture or drawing to them. (Please do NOT include any personal details). Children might like to design and colour in cards to send with their goods. The best 10 cards will be chosen by the charity. Please write to us if you wish to receive more information about the theme.
You will need to book-in a mutually convenient time to drop off the goods to us from your home, school or shul to our facility: (or you can post them).
