Help to support Norwood

From children and families in crisis to anyone of any age with learning disabilities or autism, Norwood touches the lives of thousands of people every year, but we can only do this thanks to the support of the community.

Our projects this year are as follows: –

  1. Thursday 12th November 11 am.

Please join us on zoom together Chef Pete and all our Norwood homes to bake green Mitzvah Day muffins.  These will then be donated by the people we support and our volunteers to the Charity Sufra NW London.  Sufra NW London is a food bank providing emergency supplies to individuals and families experiencing acute crisis.

If you would like to register to join us in this activity please email volunteering@norwood.org.uk

  1. ‘Connect Together’ with Norwood

Our ‘Connect Together’ programme has offered the people we support in our homes a full range of activities to help reduce isolation during Covid-19.  Whilst our residents are restricted from doing their usual physical and social activities which are so fundamental to their wellbeing.  We are asking the community to connect together with our homes by getting involved.

You could send a card, write a letter or poem, draw a picture, send in a short video or arrange a zoom call to sing some songs, play an instrument or do a dance.

If you would like to register to join in this activity please email volunteering@norwood.org.uk

  1. Winter Coat Collection

Our fabulous Charity Retail Stores are doing a winter coat and jumper collection.  If you have any donations please pop these into one of our stores located in Golders Green, Stanmore, Edgware, Borehamwood, Barkingside & Southgate.

On Mitzvah Day help lift the spirits of the people we support and better enable them to cope with these extraordinary circumstances.
